2020 Death Valley Noobs Rally

The ADV Death Valley Noobs Rally is a camping event that will be held at Panamint Springs Resort, California on March 26 – 29, 2020.

Please take note that the organizer is not responsible for any activities outside the PSR Resort. Riding is one of your options when you leave the campground or hotel premises. Your enjoyment, safety and leaving a positive image of the event are our concerns.

Your motorcycle should be street legal (plated and DOT equipped) with the current DMV registration and insurance coverage. Make sure your motorcycle is in good running condition, properly maintained and with essential tools and spares. Spark arrestor is required and please no loud pipes!!!!

The resort is adjacent to lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management and the National Park Service. Once in their jurisdiction, it is your responsibility to know the rules and regulations and to abide responsibly. Be respectful to other people and treat the environment with care. Do not do anything that will get the attention of the public or park visitors that will leave negative impressions to our group, including to the event. Purchase a National Park Pass and display it on your bike. We suggest buying an annual or lifetime pass, whatever works for you and always keep it with you.

Participation is completely voluntary and, by registering, you take responsibility for your action and accept 100% of any risk or liability that you may incur.

Your payment doesn’t include a guided ride nor an entitlement to a group ride.  There are certain individuals that will lead a group ride; these people are doing it voluntarily and not sponsored by the event organizer nor getting paid or compensated. Please give them respect and your support. It is your choice to join them or not.

Think of your safety before you join a group. We suggest review the ride plan and see if you and your bike fit in; be honest with your riding skill and physical capability. If you find the ride situation beyond your ability, you have the option to stop and turn around, however, you must notify your ride leader of your decision before leaving the group.

If you prefer to ride alone, check in with your friends or camp neighbors; tell them your plan and the expected time of your return. Likewise, once you returned to camp, notify them in person that you’re back.

We prohibit the use of any illegal drug or the consumption of alcohol while out on a ride. Be considerate of the safety of others and always think of the public’s perception.

Due to the remoteness of the places you will visit, we advise you bring a Spot Tracker or similar tracking device, plenty of water, first aid kit, enough fuel and have the means to get you and your bike to a safe location or where help is available. There is no support vehicle nor a search and rescue team to assist you. The nearest medical facility is at least 100 miles away. Be self-sufficient, friendly and form a team with your fellow riders. A group has a bigger chance of making it back to camp or finding help. Bring warm clothing in case you have to spend the night when the evening temperature will get very cold.

I, the undersigned, do hereby agree with the terms of participation and release any action towards the organizer and volunteers, from any loss, injury, expense, damage, cause of action, or any claim whatsoever, which may arise out of or about the event and my participation therein.

I have the consent of the people I’m paying for that they all agree with the terms of participation and to email a signed copy from each participant to Joel Paez at
